The story began in 2014 when founder Jared was eager to raise money for charity with his mates, but being Uni students, found their wallets wanting. So Jared got creative. He spoke with the owner of a local bar and grill and asked “I’ve noticed that the restaurant is pretty empty on Tuesday nights. If I were to bring 150 people here during those hours, would you be willing to give me 20% back from each of our bills to be donated to charity?” He agreed, and we were in business! 

Thus, the concept of ‘donate painlessly’ was born. Jared was able to leverage the buying power of his friends to support a cause they cared about at no additional cost, while bringing business to local owners. This worked way better than the bake sale last year. Everybody wins!  

Since then, Jared and the founders of Raizor have been working hard to expand the concept to every corner of Aotearoa and give everybody the chance to donate painlessly to their favourite charities.
